Privacy policy

The short version: we don't ask you for anything. There's no account, no newsletter, no comment box. What data exists comes from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and neither one loads until you press Accept. Press Reject and you still get every joke.
Who is responsible for your data
This website is operated by YoMamaSodumb.com (NJ, USA), the data controller for the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation. You can reach us at mykleisyomomma@hotmail.com.
What we collect
Nothing you type
There are no forms on this site. The filter box on each category page runs entirely in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
Analytics (only with consent)
If you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics 4, which records things like the pages you visit, roughly how long you stay, the type of device and browser you're using, your approximate location from your IP address, and how you arrived at the site. IP anonymisation is switched on. We use this to work out which jokes people read and which pages are broken. We do not attempt to identify you, and we never upload anything that could.
Advertising (only with consent)
If you accept cookies, we load Google AdSense, which pays for the site's hosting. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to select ads, measure whether they were seen, and limit how often you see the same one. Depending on your region and settings, ads may be personalised using data Google holds about your interests and browsing history across other sites.
You can review and change what Google does with your data at My Ad Center and How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser string) as a security and troubleshooting measure. These are generated by the web server itself, are kept for a short period, and are not linked to analytics or advertising data.
Why we're allowed to do this
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Serving the pages you request | Legitimate interests — you asked for the page |
| Security and abuse prevention via server logs | Legitimate interests |
| Analytics | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — withdrawable at any time |
| Advertising cookies and personalised ads | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) |
Who we share it with
Google, in its role as our analytics and advertising provider, and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data, and we have never received a payment for handing over personal information to anyone. Google may transfer data to servers outside your country, including the United States, under transfer mechanisms described in its own privacy documentation.
How long it's kept
Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage until you clear it. Server logs are kept for as long as our host retains them, typically a matter of weeks.
Your rights in the EU and UK
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can withdraw consent at any time using in the footer. Because we hold no account and no identifiers of our own, a request about analytics or ad data is usually best directed at Google, and we'll tell you how. If you think we've handled this badly you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Your rights in California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. Serving personalised ads may count as "sharing" under California law even though no money changes hands for your data.
To opt out, use in the footer, which switches off analytics and advertising cookies in your browser. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights — the jokes are identical either way.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information here, email us and we'll delete it. Advertising on this site is configured not to serve personalised ads to users identified as under the age of consent in their jurisdiction.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will reset the cookie banner so you can make a fresh choice.
